How much time people spend prepping for meetings, what’s the biggest hurdle in finding a mentor, and what are the most important factors when choosing a career opportunity?

#1 I created a poll on LinkedIn to see how much time people spend preparing for a sales meeting.
We had 33 people respond to the meeting.
14 said Half an hour
5 said a ratio of 1 to 1 meaning if it’s an hour meeting they spend an hour prepping for it
9 said less than half an hour
5 said an Hour

I typically spend on average 20-25 minutes prepping for a meeting so it sounds like I’m right on par with how most people are prepping.

#2. I created a poll on What’s the biggest hurdle in finding a mentor?
6 people said I don’t know where to start
11 Where to Find them
9 What to Ask them
Only 1 said I have plenty of mentors

Interesting insights I’ll be sure to post a video on this topic to share how I would go about leveraging mentors.

#3. 99 People Participated in What are the most important factors when choosing a career opportunity?
45 for Flexibility/Work-Life Balance
21 Salary/earning potential
18 for Career Opportunity/Mobility
5 for Benefits/Total Rewards

I was surprised to see Flexibility and work-life balance being #1. It seems like the last 3 years people have really started to value more of their whole life compared to in the past when it seemed like work was everything.
