On paper, I was winning.
I had the job, the money, the title, and the external validation that many in sales work so hard for.
I was doing everything “right.”
But deep down, something felt off.
I started to feel what I now call the invisible plateau that quiet, subtle sense that you’re climbing a ladder… but it might be leaning against the wrong wall. Don’t get me wrong there are definitely a lot of great perks that come with corporate… the fancy dinners and cool hotels. Free trips to Vegas.
Then you realize that a lot of your “friends” never answer your calls when you are struggling and you can’t help them anymore..
The Whisper That Changed Everything
The signs were small at first.
I’d end my days feeling… flat. Not burned out. Not depressed. Just like I was meant for more than commission checks and dashboards.
Don’t get me wrong I’m grateful for my time in tech sales. It built me. It sharpened me. It gave me the confidence to dream bigger.
But the truth is, the parts of the job that lit me up weren’t the closes.
They were the conversations that changed people.
The moments where someone felt seen, challenged, or inspired.
Somewhere along the way, I stopped being excited about the next deal and started being curious about the next version of me.
吝 Meeting the Mentor
Around this time, I met Ian Koniak.
Here was someone who had walked away from the corporate grind not because he couldn’t hack it, but because he realized success without purpose still leaves you empty.
His story hit me hard.
I saw my reflection in it.
And when I joined one of his masterminds in Lake Arrowhead, something inside me woke up. I didn’t just want to perform.
I wanted to lead, to serve, to help others find the fire that sales had once sparked in me.
The Leap
But here’s the thing about the call to adventure it’s loud, but fear can be louder.
I had doubts:
“What if I leave this stable career?”
“What if I fail?”
“What if I lose what I’ve built?”
I could’ve ignored it.
But faith has a way of pushing you to places your ego won’t let you go.
I said yes.
And I crossed the threshold into a new chapter as Head of Business Development at Untap Your Sales Potential.
I didn’t have every answer.
But I knew I couldn’t keep living on autopilot.
輪 The Tests
No hero’s journey is smooth.
There were days I questioned myself.
Building something meaningful requires more than skills it requires courage, grit, and a willingness to grow in public.
I had to rewire how I showed up:
Not as someone just chasing quota…
But as someone building a mission.
And something unexpected happened my faith journey deepened alongside my professional one.
The more I let go of control, the more I found alignment.
The more I anchored in purpose, the more peace I felt, even on hard days.
The Transformation
I used to sell because I wanted to prove myself.
Now I serve because I want to pour into others.
At UYSP, I’m not just building pipeline I’m building people.
I get to spend my days helping sellers step into their potential, shed limiting beliefs, and find their fire again.
This isn’t just a career anymore.
It’s a calling.
Return with the Gift
If you’re reading this and you’ve felt that quiet tug…
That whisper that says, “You’re meant for more”…
Listen to it.
It doesn’t mean you have to quit your job tomorrow.
But it might mean it’s time to start walking toward something bigger than just the scoreboard.
The best decisions of my life didn’t come from having certainty
They came from having faith.
