What I have learned from doing the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge

  1. The power of something bigger than yourself.

Even though it was an individual competition, so many people were coming together to represent your team. There is so much power in just being with other people and learning more about the corporate culture. The power of just support is amazing. People that I have never spoken to before are supportive of me just because I’m wearing the same shirt as them.

It is a really cool concept if you think about it. Christina V. who set up the event didn’t even run and she waited pretty much almost 2 hours for the last person to finish. That is dedication and true selflessness. I really respect people who do that. I honestly feel like you can learn something from pretty much anyone.

2. The power of just having fun and not worrying too much about the outcome.

I would say I am pretty competitive person and still ran really hard especially at the end when people are watching! Lol. But it was just a great time having fun meeting people in other organizations and just coming together enjoying the beautiful weather and just being in the moment.

3. Synergies

It is really amazing to see the impact and power a large organization has. Individually we have so much less of an impact compared to a large group.

It is cool to see various accounting firms, law firms, financial, fintech, etc all come together to have a rainbow of smorgasbord of cultures and I thought it was nice to see close to 10,000 people all come together for one race.

Well I hope you have a wonderful day! I just wanted to post something light and refreshing and not as serious as all of my other posts. enjoy the weekend everyone and remember how blessed you are to be able to afford a smartphone or have access to the internet to even be reading this. Or even just to have the freedom to be able to access blogs and freedom of opinions…
