Wow! What an incredible experience. I’ve had one of the best days of my life.
I flew into Columbus, Ohio, and couldn’t sleep at all because I was so excited about this conference that I had been waiting for nine months. I bought the tickets in December last year as a reward to treat myself for having a great year and accomplishing many of my goals.
I came into the conference excited to meet similar minded people who are all into wellness, physical and mental well being, and the conference did deliver. All-day, we kept meeting friendly people who were into personal development, and Lewis had a fun-filled pack day.
One of my favorite sessions was a workshop from my favorite coach of all time, Chris Lee. We talked a lot about different topics but what stood out to me was taking responsibility for our interpretations. We, as human beings, interpret everything. We tend to be a victim and blame others when things don’t go our way. He gives us a way to be able to take back responsibility and have a method to change and disrupt our patterns.
We tend to become our interpretations. There was a funny moment when we practiced saying Yes!! (with a fist clenched with a downward motion) to events that people would typically be devastated by whether it was break up, becoming broke as an entrepreneur, or losing a loved one.
The reason why most of us have a negative response is that humans have a fight or flight mode. Most of our reactions come from thousands of years of survival, and we have to reprogram our brains to not react to everything as a threat.
The laws of attraction – ever since I started welcoming abundance into my life. I received my dream job at Linkedin, and I started making a lot more friends and inviting a lot more money in my life. I used to think of myself as this poor kid who not smart, not capable of growing, or incapable of making any significant amount of money. After diving into the work of coaching and introspection, thank you, Lewis Howes, for helping build my mindset. I started taking responsibility, and instead of blaming others, I started taking action. Slowly but surely, year by year, I began to receiving salary jumps. I started working on becoming a better communicator, reading plenty of books, and start putting myself out there through vulnerability and asking for feedback. With constant feedback and continual improvement, I built relationships and had an opportunity to work for one of the best companies in the world.
This conference helped me realize that if you surround yourself with people who believe in each other and people who are open to change and new possibilities, the support of a tribe can help you hold each other accountable for new goals and new ways of being.
Changing the self-talk is vital in shifting certain areas of my life. I did not realize how much I didn’t truly trust people and how much that affected my life. I matched people when they started showing trust first. I had a huge realization that my life’s purpose was to trust unconditionally and have faith that everything will be alright. My amazing ability is to able to create instantaneous connection through vulnerability. It’s my superpower!
Embrace it powerfully, and I can personally shift the world into what is possible for us as a society. It empowers me to create the same sort of experience for others through this work. I have more awareness around why it keeps me so alive.
Relating to problems as opportunities is another lesson today that resonated with me. If I look at certain areas as a place where I can grow and improve, the energy shifts, and it doesn’t become this arduous task. I can relate to it as a game. I can see this affecting my life around finances and things that are “difficult.”
Forgiveness was another big topic that was discussed today. Forgiveness is one that I can identify because I can be tough on myself. I realize that there is nothing good that comes from being hard on oneself. It’s fine to acknowledge what happened, but the key is to create an action plan to move on.
Chris says we should only choose interpretations that empower us. For instance, today, I told myself that I am a great listener and that I am excellent at creating deep 1on1 connections. That allowed me to listen well and feel incredibly connected to many of the fantastic friends I’ve made today.
An example of a typical breakdown that I have is when I forget to wake up in time for Crossfit, and I hit the snooze button. The collapse of commitments and priorities could bring that I did not plan to sleep early enough. Creating an action plan could simply allowing myself to sleep earlier the night before. Another alternative is to plan other obligations and tasks earlier in the day so that I am not leaving all of my important priorities to the end of the day. (Instead of make myself wrong and beating myself up about it.)
Overall, today was an enlightening experience that will help me create much more empowering self-talk. I enjoy connecting, and I appreciate the amount of energy, effort, and time that is going into this conference.
I can’t wait to update you all tomorrow with lessons from Day 2 of Lewis Howe’s- Summit of Greatness!
Shout out to Lewis- himself, the legendary Chris Lee,Gina Hansen, Spencer White, Kyrie Puaoi, Marina Kirik, Jackie Shao, and everyone who made yesterday friggin’ the best day ever!
Purpose: I create an empowering context for curious and hungry people looking for fulfillment, experiences, and creativity. We do this by developing their growth mindset, introducing self-love, and powerful group experiences. It results in people with strong boundaries, resilient mental health, and practical life skills
People leave with the ability to land their dream job, have autonomy and flexibility with their lifestyle, travel the world, and create from their heart and soul.
Davidson was once broke, insecure, low-confidence, and frustrated by doing all the wrong activities. Addicted to drugs, validation, and wallowing in self-pity. No relationship to family, and at the mercy of other people’s suggestions and opinions.
It was hell.
After spending $100k hiring different coaches, traveling the world doing workshops around the world, reading>1000 books, and through curiosity, have created the most effective system to remove people from that situation. My life’s work is to bring joy and abundance to people who as on a similar path as I was and bring back the joy and abundance of their life.
Through shared experiences and storytelling, I inspire and model behaviors that lead to a richer, more fulfilled life full of joy, experiences, passion, and ecstasy from the richness of relationships and being able to experience the depths of the human experience.
