The power of culture

The power of culture within a team can be tremendously inspiring.  Working at TriNet has really transformed the way I look at a company’s culture and the impact it has on employees. Never have I seen such a powerful mechanism to create change to empower to construct the life that one wants to be able to have.

I have been with many organizations, but I am glad to say that the culture at TriNet is unlike any I have seen before. Perhaps it is my love for HR or helping businesses scale. Maybe I just really believe in the product and what we are doing. But without a doubt, I have never seen a culture where everyone wants everyone else to succeed as much as I have seen here at TriNet. All of the senior sales consultants have been crucial in my development and I actually really appreciate it.

The value of mentorship and even a more junior rep like myself being mentored can create a massive sense of purpose within organizations. At the end the day we all want others to succeed. We are all searching for the same things. Whether its a sense of community, having a healthy ecosystem or just creating impact, having meaningful work that you proud. Sometimes it looks like being the best possible manager or mother/father/son. At times its giving your all 100% or sometimes it’s just making everyone else around you better.

The ability to impact so many lives is within all of us, and sometimes it’s timing, or sometimes we forget about the impact of our words. I tend to forget how powerful my words can be until my manager reminds me to be more mindful of my speaking at times because it can significantly contribute to culture.

Culture is an interesting topic I have been studying for quite some time reading hundreds of business books and biographies of billions to explore how one person can create multibillion-dollar organizations that revolve around a common theme or mindset.

I urge you all to take a look at if you are not happy with the culture you are currently a part of. Why not be the catalyst for change and have the desire to want to improve your daily life. We spend more time at work than we do at home, well most of us do anyway, and at times we act as if we are a victim and cannot be the one to change organizational culture. I was guilty of this as well, but then I started to realize how much I can replace with my actions, being and my intentions.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and keep in mind that you do the power to create the change you want to see.
