Abundance vs scarcity mindset

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Happy Memorial day to everyone!

Today I just wanted to talk about the scarcity vs abundance mindset.

The scarcity mindset was one I had my whole life growing up seemingly poorer than everyone around me financially. Everything was taught to me that oh, you should not waste a grain of rice. There is still chicken left on the bone.Do not waste food. Etc…. I had a scarcity mindset when it came to money, with correlates to a lot of things in life.

Only recently after doing a lot of soul-searching and working with coaches I have started to slowly but surely change my mindset. Now everything is abundance, every opportunity I have, ever person I meet lies a potential business opportunity. There are so many things in one’s life that can shift when adopting an abundance mindset. I do not necessary worry as much because I have faith that it is all going to work out in the end. Of course, like most people not everything is perfect but I do work on things to improve my life such as read books on topics that I want to improve upon so books like Money master the game, rich dad, poor dad, unbreakable, etc.

There are also so many good financial blogs out there that can help.

Living in NYC has introduced me to people that have huge abundance mindsets. It is much easier to talk about our circumstances and that other people have it “easier” than we have it but what service does that create for oneself?

After adopting a much more abundance mindset, every new person I talk to, or at every new networking event or conference I learn more and I do not close off my mind to new connections that hey you never know can be your next business partner.

The synergies and energy are so interesting in NYC, Ivy connect is another place where I feel such at home whenever I meet someone from Ivy there is always so many similarities and interesting stories to learn and to be heard.

I just got done listening to how I built this with the founder of Toms and it is so interesting how many attempts and tries people have when they start believing in themselves and stop thinking about how bad it is every time they failed.

I challenge you to think of 100 things you are grateful for right now. Can you name 100 things? This will start you on the path of gratefulness and abundance in your life.

Let me know if you have finished this exercise and tell me how things in your life have changed from this one simple exercise.

I know it’s truly helped me realized how fortunate I really am to live in this world at this time at this place in this given location.
